HISTORY OF COASTER GROUPS
Adrenaline Riders is a concept I created for a new roller coaster enthusiast group. Since the original in 1978 known as American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), people from all over the world have come together to experience the thrills from theme park to theme park.
I have loved roller coasters my entire life and thought to myself, what if I decided to create my own enthusiast group? Below is my process on how I came up with the logo design for this new group.
RESEARCH + INSPIRATION
When choosing the name Adrenaline Riders, I knew I needed to get inspiration from a coaster that really gets your heart racing and raises anticipation. Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Point fit this description perfectly.
LOGO IDEATIONS
With Top Thrill 2 being themed to drag racing and Formula 1 race cars, the logo I decide on must resemble the thrill of racing and speed.
FINAL LOGO (BLACK + WHITE)
ELEMENTS + COLOR INCORPORATION
The 420 feet tall top-hat is one of the most iconic elements in the theme park world. To give more visual interest to this logo, I decided to incorporate this in a unique way.
LOGO VARIATIONS
Now that a foundational logo has been established, I decided to create variations of the original. This being changes in color and adding an abbreviation logo.
